Soma Center

Definition: Soma is the elixir of immortality, the life giving milk of the Egyptian Goddess Hator, the sacred liquid of immortality in the moon, that Rahu eats up to rejuvenate himself. In the secret Dakini Oracle, Soma is the cooling fulfillment-aspect of the psyche, the lunar wisdom connected with the third eye chakra, the cosmic house of light and the doorway to hidden knowledge and spiritual enlightenment.

Chiang Rai is located in Northern Thailand, about 180 km (~110 miles) north of the better known City of Chiang Mai. Chiang Rai has an airport with direct connection to Bangkok with Thai Airways and a couple low prices airlines too.

The center is a place created with much love and beauty to provide a perfect place for visitors and participants of retreats and fun-shops to experience their truly beauty and creativity within the offered programs.

We offer beautiful, clean and simple accommodation in our magical garden, every one can chose from the 3 different types of houses which kind of room they prefer. Each room has a hot water maker and several fresh teas.

In our workshops we provide full accommodation with 3 delicious vegetarian meals a day.

How to find our Center:

If you come from South to Chiang Rai:

Stay on the main road Highway 1 and pass by Chiang Rai city towards Mae Sai for another 11 km after the big junction (ha-yaeg).

Pass the traffic light junctions Airport and Rajaphat University, then at the next traffic light Ban Den turn right towards Tha Kao Pluak and follow this road for 1.3 km (Big sign for the Golden Pine Resort Best - Western Hotel at the junction)

Go up the hill, pass the village, school on the right, go down pass by the temple on your left and then you see rice fields on your left while you enter into a double curve.

Slow down, just before the sharp right curve turn right into Soi 7 at Ban Muang Kam; Soi 7 is marked on a big pineapple. Make sure you turn right into the little road just a few meters before the sharp right curve where you also can see the SOMA Mandala guiding the way.

(There is a blue sign on the left just before Soi 7 saying: 800 m to the Golden Pine Resort)

Go through the village until the concrete road ends, turn left and follow the gravel road up the hill and follow this road for 1,2 km. The entrance to the Orchard where the center is located is also marked with the Soma Logo.

If you come from the North, from the Burmese border Mae Sai, pass Mae Chan and the Mae Fah Luang University (first traffic light after Mae Chan) - turn left at the next traffic-light junction which is Ban Den and turn towards Tha Kao Pluak and follow the instructions above.
